TotalEnergies in Germany
TotalEnergies has been active in Germany since 1955 and currently secures around 4,000 jobs nationwide. The company operates one of the most modern crude oil processing facilities in Europe in Leuna and offers a wide range of energy products, including fuels, lubricants, liquefied petroleum gas, heating oil, bitumen, and specialty products for industry—particularly through its subsidiaries Hutchinson and SAFT.
In addition, TotalEnergies is a major supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Germany, which is primarily imported via its regasification terminal in Mukran on Germany’s Baltic Sea coast.
TotalEnergies is actively advancing its strategy in the field of integrated power generation in Germany. The company is developing offshore wind projects with a total capacity of 7.5 GW in the North and Baltic Seas, a portfolio of 7 GW of solar and onshore wind power—particularly following the acquisition of VSB in 2025—and 2 GW of battery storage capacity with Kyon Energy, which was acquired in 2024. In 2023, TotalEnergies also acquired Quadra Energy, the leading aggregator of renewable power generation in Germany.
TotalEnergies operates a nationwide network of more than 7,500 charging points for electric vehicles.

TotalEnergies Rafinery Leuna is one of the most modern, largest and most energy-efficient crude oil processing plants in Europe.
Bitumen plant in Brunsbüttel
TotalEnergies Bitumen Deutschland GmbH, a specialty refinery, operates in Brunsbüttel with approximately 130 employees and 50 employees of service providers.
Mineral Oil plant Osnabrück
The Osnabrück lubricant plant produces lubricants for industrial customers based on individual formulations. More recently, TotalEnergies has also developed the site into a center of competence for rolling oils.
